I purchased a new Inspiron 530 w/Windows XP. I us WMM for creating fanvids
and such. When I opened the program and loaded my video that I've used with
WMM before the previews won't play. I started using Adobe Premiere but it
just isn't as user friendly as WMM. I'd love it if someone would help me fix
this problem.

Sorry, can't help you with your problem. I just started using WMM myself.
I'm a Pinnacle Studio user. But..............I have a question. What is
fanvids?

Well, I've installed a couple of new drivers for my Radeon graphics card. I
thought that my solve the problem...but it didn't. Perhaps the problem has
something to do with the fact that I'm using dual monitors....hmmm.

Does Pinnacle break the clips up for you? What I mean is, does it create
clips for the imported video like WMM?

Fanvids are videos fans make. For instance, I make Star Trek fan videos. I
take clips from various episodes and mash them up into a music video or a
short video with random silly dialog.

Thanks for the explaining fanclips. Yes, Pinnacle does break them up.
Matter-of-fact, I think it is much more user friendly than WMM. I've been
using it for about 8 years now.
I tried Adobe, and didn't like it at all. You have more output options
also. Mpeg's -2, and 4, avi's, wmplayer, tape, real audio etc. I just was
trying WMM to see what it would do. For what your doing, I think Studio 10
would fit the bill for you. http://www.pinnacle.com . You may also want to
check out Pro-Show Gold, that is made by Photodex. http://www.Photodex.com.
It's a very good program also. They have excellent support, and are located
in Austin. You talk to a real person there for help. Almost always open
lines.
Have a good week-end.
