    - which option will give best quality for "saving to my computer" I have now finished my movie and want to "save it to my computer" then I am given a list of options eg: best quality play back on my comput best fit other settings (has so many options) But if I want to burn it to dvd to play on tv/pc what should I select for best quality?     - Capturing Aspect Ratio Problem When capturing video from the video in of an ATI Radeon X600, the aspect ratio using the best quality setting is screwed up. It used to capture at 720x480, and now it captures at 720x240. The preview screen looks fine during the capture, but when the video is played (independently with MP or on a timeline) it is skrunched to a narrow screen. I've seen where other posters have reported problems with MM after installing IE7 and/or WMP11, and I've loaded both since this problem started.     - Video pauses during playback When playing back captured video from my camcorder, about every 3 seconds or so the video freezes for a split second. The sound is fine.     - wmm error i noticed in another post that someone uninstalled thier intervideo creator which caused wmm to then work. i use that program also and never had any trouble with it. from the dates of these posts, it seems that this trouble is happening for everyone around the same time. i think it MUST have something to do with a recent update. another person said they renamed the HKCU? how the heck does one do that? i'd like to try that since i also use my intervideo creator a lot and don't want to lose that either.     - Add a clip I am making a video of football clips for my brother. I got the video from old VHS tapes using a VCR going directly to the back of the computer, recorded it with media center, burned it to DVD and Imported it to MM from the file the computer created. My problem is that I was having so many problems with MM shutting down, freezing up, getting errors ect. I went ahead and created a DVD because I was afraid of loosing what I had already made. I have a 2 minute clip that I want to put on the end of the already existing movie and this nightmare will be over. The 2 min clip came from a Sony viewcam 8 that I went through the VCR and created the same way as the other clips. Sorry for getting long winded, I can see the vid in my folders but when I click import it is not in any of the folders? What am I doing wrong?     - Problem burning DVD Hello, I am a beginner and have captured my first video from my camera using MovieMaker. I have edited it and saved the movie as high quality video. I want to burn it onto CD using MyDVD.     - 3gp movies - how to convert (to AVI?) Hello, I have a Nokia 6280 mobile phone which can take films stored in the 3gp format. I would like to make real films out of these files, but they have to be converted somehow. How can I convert these 3gp-files into a format that can be used by windows or the movie maker or windows media player? Which format would be preferrable? Are there any free tools?     - No video effects or transistions for domain users I work at a high school and have recently installed XP on a suite of computers. In the suite there are several shuttles and towers. The problem I am having is with movie maker on the towers. On these movie maker will run perfectly as the local administrator or domain administrator, but when any other type of domain user tries to use the software only two video effect appear (Slow Down,Half and Speed Up, Double) and no transistions. I have tried several methods to try to resolve the problem but with no joy.     - Collections I've been trying to import some Fraps videos into a collection I created in movie maker.     - length of clips driving me crazy.....help?!?! Hi my name is beth and I am making a video of a bunch of pictures and backgrounds for my best friend. The problem I am having is that I want to make the length of alot of the clips longer.     - Almost there, but Audio Skips Ok...I have resolved the video issue where MOST of the Video would save and ALL of the Audio would save. To do this, I decreased my Hardware Accelleration to ZERO and Removed all Codec Filters and then saved the Movie as a DV-AVI file. This was a 310 JPG File with about 10 Music Files added.     - hardly kno what I'm doin' to be honest Just got a new desktop with XP and have a Kodak camera that shoots video. So, I did an experimental 10 minutes of video to see what it'd look like. Then transfered the video I shot to a CD. It was only after that, that I discovered Movie Maker on my pc. There were instructions I found in a book on letting MM do the work automatically.     - Unable to fully transfer mpeg2 from H/drive to WMM. I have mpeg2 movie clips on the hard drive of my IBM R50e laptop which would not transfer fully into Windows Movie Maker. All I could get was the sound track but no images. This was also the case on my other desktop computer.     - Video Capture - Recognising source I have a Dazzle DVC170 external USB card to convert my VCR analogue video and audio. Device Manager confirms this is working properly although it appears to think that it is a sound card rather than a video/sound card. It works satisfactorily with Pinnacle Instant DVD Recorder software. However, Windows Movie Maker does not recognise this card as a capture device.     - Importing video problem I've used MM 2.1 numerous times over the past few years. Mostly to create DVDs of family vacations. This week I ran into an issue I've never experienced. I captured a 67 minute video (DV-AVI) format from my Sony MiniDV the same as I always have. The problem is that MM 2.1 only recognizes the first 2 seconds of the file. The entire 13.7 gb file is on my system as I can play it in Media Player. I've tried importing it into MM a few different ways. I've also tried re-capturing it a few times, but no success. My wife started a WMM project with several dozen photos. Is there a way to
change the duration of all the photos simultaneously after they have been
added and saved to the timeline? I changed the default duration in options
but that apparently doesn't affect the photos already in place.

The setting only applies to clips added to
the timeline *after* you change the setting.

You can change the duration for each clip
manually. Move your pointer around on the
edge of a clip until you see a double red
arrow. Now drag the double red arrow...
you'll see a tooltip that shows the duration
changing.

Or...just redo the project now that you have
changed the duration.
