I am exploring Windows Movie Maker today for the first time. I have several
pictures in the Timeline, with Transitions. I would like to be able to select
a picture and control the panning that appears on the picture. I'd like to
start out zoomed in on my son's face and then gradually zoom out to include
the rest of the family. I like this feature because it creates a sense of
movement, even though its pictures. I can't seem to find out how to control
panning. Is it possible?

I appreciate any input you may have regarding this matter. Thank you!

Make a PhotoStory 3 clip with the panning/zooming, and then import it into
Movie Maker to use in the movie.

Check the Photo Story 3 section of my website for a download link and info
about using... it's a free download and works great with Movie Maker...

In addition to Photo Story 3 you may also like to consider a plugin I
provide for doing panning and zooming inside Movie Maker. This works with
movies as well.

A similar plugin (with some restrictions) is provided by Pixelan as well.
