    - Help needed asap! Well I've finished creating my amv(anime music video). Since my computer always seemed to freeze up whenever I try to run a movie on WMM, I decided to try something else. You see, I have these whole episodes of the anime I was making the music video for and I just put one entire episode in the timeline, watched through it and split up all the clips that I needed from the rest of the video and deleted the rest of the clips from the timeline. But whenever I try saving my project as a movie, it shows the following error: "Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the saving location is still available, and that there is enough free disk space available and then try again." Is it because I didn't actually save the clips I used in the movie to my collections folder?     - Saving for various Media Viewing Hi, new to Windows Movie Maker and just finished putting together my first movie. Very easy program to use and it came out great, it uploaded to YouTube fine and is viewable. However, when I save it to my computer I cannot view it with either Windows Media or Quicktime. QT doesn't recognize a wmm file (I think that was the ext) and in WMedia it shows up like a psychedelic Peter Max movie. I have tried to play with saving it it different formats to no avail.     - Output to DV Hi. I'm experiencing a problem sending my DV-AVI WMM edit back to my tape on my Canon ZR850. I've also noticed the same thing while using AVID FREE. Everything is absolutely great, except that I notice the outer left and right sides of the movie become cropped on the DV tape. In other words, the picture that I see on my tape is slightly less than what I see within WMM. In still other words, I'm losing picture when I transfer back to my DV tape. Why is this happening?     - New camera, JVC Hard Drive Camcorder I just got a new camcorder that use no taps, has a hard drive built in. Does anyone know how to use this camcorder with Windows Movie Maker?     - WMM Help Everytime I open WMM and try to import a video file, I get this message: CLIP0014.ASF could not be imported. Class not registered. No matter what type of file I put into it, it gives me that message. Before that though, WMM would just shut itself down and ask if I wanted to make an error report. Is there any way i can fix this?     - Using Movie Maker with Dazzle DVC-80 I have an analog camera, and have been trying to capture video using it and Movie Maker. I have no problem getting the video, but no audio is getting captured. My audio setting choices are: Sigma Tel Audio Dazzle DVC Audio 2 DVC 80 16 k 16 bit When I select the Dazzle, the only audio input I can get is ADC. I've tried both composite and SVideo connections.     - Movie Maker Non-responsive Help Please! I'm totally frustrated with Windows Movie Maker. I can't seem to do anything without it going non-responsive. I add a simple 2 minute clip, which runs (witout audio I might add), but as soon as I add a second short clip, or a transition, or a simple title page, the program freezes. I've done a lot of research, but no one seems to have a suitable answer. Can't be a memory issue. I'm running it on a brand new XP Media Center (which I bought because I thought it was supposed to be the real deal for editing movies etc). I've got the latest SP2, and read all the crap on papajohn's...which is just useless technospeak. The only thing I can think is that the file version(s) are screwed. The version of the WMM files on my system are: WMM2AE.dll (2.1.4026.0) WMM2DVR.DLL (2.5.2180.2) WMM2ERES.dll (2.5.2180.2) WMM2EXT.dll (2.5.2180.2) WMM2FILT.dll (2.1.4026.0) WMM2FXA.dll (2.1.4026.0) WMM2FXB.dll (2.1.4026.0) WMM2RES2.dll (2.1.4026.0) WMM2RES.dll (2.1.4026.0) Some differing version numbers there. That make sense to anyone? Please help, becasue I'm ready to toss this hunk of junk in the bin and get a Mac. Is this program just pure crap or what?     - Movie Maker and MPEG-2 Files I've discovered that the Windows "Movie Maker" video editing program cannot edit MPEG-2 files! How ridiculous! The videos in my new, expensive camera cannot be edited. Why would Microsoft commit such an important oversight?     - Movie Maker & AVI files I am new to this. I have a movie (video file) I made on a portable recording device at 480X640 and it's an AVI file. I copied this file from the device to my PC and imported the video into MM. I cannot see anything on the thumbnail as I can if I import a WMV file, but it plays if I play it in the player - video and audio. However, I can drag it to the story board/timeline and it will not play video, audio plays.     - new to WMM..having trouble with quality of video..please help! Hi. I'm new to WMM and am limited in my computer knowledge..any help would be greatly appreciated. I am planning on presenting a drama video to my church. I have already recorded the pieces of video that I wanted, using a video camera, and now have the clippings on a DVD-R. The quality of the video clippings is very clear up to this point. However, I then took the video from the DVD-R and saved it on my computer hard drive. From there, I used WMM program and edited everything together how I want it. The picture quality of the video in WMM was slightly grainy during the editing process. I then burnt the final video onto a CD-R and viewed it in Windows Media Player and the picture quality was very grainy and terrible looking. Could someone please walk me through step-by-step or give me suggestions as to how to improve the video quality during the process of transferring the DVD-R to my hard drive and also during the burning process after I am finished with the video in WMM...Thanks so much!     - Two problems I'm working on an AMV, and I've noticed a few things that I know aren't really supposed to happen: 1. If I watch my project so far from the beginning, it plays fine. But if I start, say, 20 seconds into the video, the music doesn't start at the point I paused at, but instead at one a few seconds earlier. 2. I split a clip into thirds and added [Fade In, From White] to two of them so I could get the flashing effect. On the third clip, however, it stops playing. I can watch the rest if I set the point to after the said clip, but then problem 1 comes into play. What's going on?     - Memory Error - WMM Closes automatically Anyone ever see this happen in WMM 5.1? Instruction at "0x000000bc" referenced memory "0x000000bc". The memory could not be "read". It terminates the program.     - Blur selected part of screen Is there a not-terribly expensive piece of software that works either as an add-in to WMM or as standalone that anyone can recommend that would allow me to blur a selected chunk of the screen? It would be the SAME chunk of the screen during the whole clip, so it wouldn't need to be dynamic, but it would be beneficial to outline a square or rectangular piece of the playback window and say "blur this."     - Movie editor for windows pc hi Is it possible to edit quicktime movies on a PC running windows XP? Of course Windows own movie maker doesnt support its rival stuff. I have recently purchased a MCE computer, has the WinTV PVR 150, I am trying to record some of my son's baby videos from VHS-C camcorder, using the s-video and/or yellow/white composite cables from the camcorder. I used Windows Movie Maker, captured video but no audio. Same using AVS video capture. I have Realtek HD audio, sound is hooked up to generic sound inputs connected to motherboard. I do not have a separate sound card. How can I enable capturing audio using these sources. I have been recommended to use coaxial, but shouldn't I be able to use other (better, reduce loss of quality) resources.     - WMM won't recognize my Sony camcorder Hi, Although I previously have not had any problems and have made plenty of WMM projects, lately my computer won't recognize my Sony camcorder. So I can't capture any video. However, I am able to capture using the lesser quality capture setting of DV-AVI.     - Saving Files for the Next Generation I have a lot of family videos that I captured through Movie Maker, Imported into Nero, made it pretty with chapters and titles and saved the project to DVD and my computer.     - How do I save my movie to DVD with WinDVD? OK, it's taken me forever to fiddle around with MovieMaker and do my movie, finally got it all finished and now am struggling with how to convert it to a DVD. I managed to get to the Save Movie File, and saved it to "My Computer" as DV-AVI, but then when I played it back, all my audio was stuffed it (my audio was jumping all over the place when the clips faded to the next). So, after reading heaps of posts on this board, followed some instructions to un-installed Internet Explorer 7, and hey presto, after saving my movie again but this time as "High Quality Video (PAL). So I now have my file and the sound is working, but can't for the life of me figure out how to convert it to a format for recording to DVD. I've searched through this site, and read about all sorts of programs I can use. And although I have a few of these programs (have never used any of them before) I am at a loss how to proceed with them. I have Sonic RecordNow v6, but when I open this it tells me I don't have the right version of Media Player. I have InterVideo WinDVD, but am totally lost with what to do with it. I can play my movie on it, but can't see any other options here. I have downloaded the free trial version of ConvertXtoDVD, and after waiting yonks for it to download, I went to convert my movie, but it said it would have a watermark through the entire thing (not at all what I want!) Can anyone please explain if (and how) I can use WinDVD to do this?? Please help! I am so frustrated with this, have been surfing for answers for hours and hours and hours now! Argh! It should be possible since WMM handles almost every fileformat. I have some
probems with .avi files but if you download a converter it should be no
problem.
