Music Will not play while editing

I posted this a couple days ago and didn't get a reply. When I am putting the movie together when I insert music it just shows a white bar with the song title in it. What am I doing wrong>> Help!!

Maybe that's all you would normally be seeing.... do you hear it when
previewing the project? You might not see any wave patterns until you zoom
into the timeline and expand the tracks vertically.... until then it might
just look like a white bar with the song title.

No it does not play during preview. I don't know what else it could be????

What file format is it, where did you get it, and is it copy protected?

It is a song from an actual cd I have. When I first installed movie maker it worked. I could see the sound waves and everything wjile previewing now just the white bar. I know that it worked before I just can't figure out how to make it work again without uninstalling and reinstalling. Would that even help??

Go to the music file itself and see if it plays OK in your audio file
player. Maybe it's missing or corrupt, or not accessible for some reason.

Seems that, if it worked before and doesn't now, then
you're into either doing a restore to go back to when it
worked or doing a reinstallation of Movie Maker.... just
install it over the existing files and maybe it'll work
fine again.
