I just bought a new laptop specifically to get Vista Premium with support for
MM and AVCHD. I could swear a chart I saw from Microsoft showed MM under
Premium supporting AVCHD. Now I cannot get MovieMkr to read AVCHD
files...any ideas? I have a Core 2 Duo at 2.1 Ghz with Nvidia 256 MB
8100...Is this enough machine for AVCHD...seeing now some programs require
2.4 GHz? Why is it taking so long to get AVCHD SW? Is their some codec I
can get somewhere? Thx for the help.

The support in MM6 of Vista Home Premium and Ultimate is for HD, not the
AVCHD format. Look to other software for support of that new file type....
