I captured video from my Samsung video camera into Movie Maker, but when I
went to go play and edit the video, I had video, but not the audio that went
with it. How can I fix this?

Are you capturing via Firewire or USB?

I am having the same issue. I get video, but no audio. I connected through a
USB cable to capture from my Sony Digital video camera. What should I do?
Very important fire dept. video I'm trying to get together

The USB connection may or may not be the reason for the problem but whether
it is or not you would be far better off using Firewire. Capturing via USB
is slower and not as reliable. With firewire you have the option of
capturing to DV-AVI which is higher quality and firewire is faster meaning
you will have fewer if any dropped frames.

I'd second Wojo's recommendation for firewire and I do suspect it is the usb
connection as MM is not designed to use that.

I have the same problem, bought firewire today, installed card and cable,
hooked up to sony handycam, tried to capture in WMM, still no audio (although
much better video quality). The same thing happens when I try to capture in
Sonic. my speakers are working on other programs. Any ideas? I have done
this a hundred times using USB with all same equipment, suddenly this no
audio problem. I have many videos to capture, pleeeeaase help.

When you playback the video ON the camera do you have audio?

Thanks for replying, but I figured it out....in My Computer under speakers,
the volume was turned all the way down. This has happened again since then
when playing something in Media Player. I suspect my teenager is turning it
down (imagine that) using the icon control instead of the knobs on the
speakers. I appreciate your knowledge and willingness to share it with all
of us "newbies".
