Movie Maker 2.1.4026.0 - won't close - no picture after drag-drop

May be 2 separate problems but began at about same time. Must use Task
Manager to close. Can drop clip but can not see pictures when dropped to
Storyboard or Timeline - will make viewable movie, but can not see where I
have cropped when trying to assemble parts.

Additional info - googled some more and found link to Regcure saying it would
fix Movie Maker. Thought it odd, since I use Regcure daily, but ran it
anyway. It fixed this (these) problem(s) on the first try, but it broke again
after I closed it. Can not get Regcure to fix it again???
