I just recorded a Windows Movie Maker to my CD Burner.
THis movie plays back perfectly on my CD Burner, but this
movie will NOT play in my dvd writer on my computer, or
my DVD player hooked up to my tv.

I guess my question is basic...can a Video CD playback on
a dvd Player of any kind...or do I need to rerecord the
movie on to a dvd, so it will play on my dvd Player
hooked up to my tv.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Dale,

See the Distributing, CD Burning, and DVD Burning sections of
www.papajohn.org

You have to take the output of MM2 and use other software to create and burn
your discs. The option in Movie Maker is for discs that play only on
computers (until new versions of DVD players support it).

Papa,

Thank you VERY much for the response. Just out of
curiosity can you play ANY kind of video CD on a DVD
player these days?

Again, thanks!

A good place to check for compatibility:

You may want to add this one to your site.
