    - Wheres the Color in preview? I recently put a TV card in with a Cable connection into my PC. I hooked up a VCR to convert the video. If I use the software that came with the Card I get color. If I use WMM2 the File comes out as Black and white. I Have been looking in the Forums and tweaking but the result does not change.     - Black & White Capture I have connected my Sony DCR-TRV350 using s-video cables that go through the ATI TV Wonder Pro Video Adapter. The adapter is an s-video/composite video adapter however when I try to capture my video from the tape, it appears in black and white. Anyone encounter this before and possibly have a solution?     - No Audio from Video in Timeline Preview I've made a couple of short videos with MM, and I've never had any problems. The other day, I started a new project, and placed a few clips in the timeline. When I previewed it, all of sudden, there was no audio. When I highlight the clip in the folder, and hit play on the preview screen, there is audio, but when I highlight the timeline and hit play, it doesn't play the audio. Also, at the same time, I have no system sounds for my computer. I've checked all of the drivers and audio settings and everything seems fine.     - OT: soundtrak suggestions please Hi everyone, I could use some suggestions from fellow users. I'm putting together a slide show of my son's first year to give to my parents and in-laws for Christmas. He was born 12/30/2003, and I have some great pictures and video to use. My problem is I'm having a hard time thinking of a good song to put along with my pictures. I've got Louis Armstrong's "Wonderful World", but that's just a little over 2 minutes long, so I need another song (or two) to fill out my aproximately six minutes of pictures and video. I thought about using a few songs from the Baby Einstein soundtrak, but those don't really go well with Wonderful World (and I really want to use that one since a number of the beginning pictures are in the delivery room right after he was born and when we first brought him home).     - Analog capture in Full NTSC I'm trying to capture footage from VHS and I want to get the best possible rez so I change the video settings to 720x480 but when I try to capture I get an error which says "the video device is currently in use. Close any other applications.....". I'm using a PCI tuner card w/ composite input and I've checked all the settings.     - XP-SP2 Firewire Speedup Microsoft just posted an update to XP-SP2 to correct a speed setting for Firewire captures. Seems the original SP2 install capped the download speed a S100 instead of permitting the S400 speeds that video capture prefers.     - Help! I can't save my movie! I've been working on this christmas gift slide show-like movie and when I go to save it to a cd it says I should check the space in the cd, make sure all my sources are there, and see if there's a big enough file to keep it in. I know my movie can fit in the cd and I've tried everything I know to "check my source files." I really need to get this movie burned before Christmas-can anybody help me??     - WrongColorsInVideoPlayback Hi, I've used MM 2 successfully on a few home projects. Recently, I've run into problems with video playback/review. The color quality is overblown with green and yellow hues. I'm not sure, but this color change may have occurred about the time I installed multiple softwares for HP photosmart photo printer, MGI photosuite 4 for a vivitar digital camera, and nero software for dvd 6in1 player.     - Video Lost in conversion I just saved a project to my pc as a movie. the movie is 64 minutes long. At the 15 minute mark or so, I loose video. I turned of filters to see if that helped, but I have tried 4 times so far with the same results each time. This is the first time I have used WMM since the 2.1 upgrade. The camera does have output in the form of an S-Video, and audio jack (which leads to RCA cable ends.) SO, what is the best way for me to import video to my laptop?     - Capturing Widescreen Format Hi, am using Windows MM for the first time, attempting to capture video from my Sony DV which I recorded in widescreen 16:9 format. I cannot see how to get MM to recognise this, it's stretching all my video into 4:3 (I think!) and everything looks awful. Can anyone advise?     - Difficulty in rendering transitions - Q to Papa John I produced a 15 minute ski movie with plenty of short action clips and many transitions (including some of MM2 winter transitions) and movie maker 2 refuses to render this to DV AVI (but will to WMV9 - highest quality PAL). If I take out all the transitions it renders quickly to DV AVI but obviously screws up the look and feel of the movie without the transitions. I also get the occasional skip in the music backing track which I see described elswhere as being attributable to MP3 files when rendering directly to Dv AVI. I see a solution for music problem is to render to WMV then drop that back in as a single clip to MM2 and render again to DV AVI which works first go for the music. My question is ---- isnt this killing the quality of my video? ie first to WMV and then to AVI? by the way I have a recent high spec machine with 1 gig of ram and separate 120gb hard disk only for movies and am at a loss to understand the transitions rendering issue.     - Subtitles Hi, I want to create subtitles for my movie. The problem is, the "subtitles" style when adding text to video doesnt let you change the background.     - Runtime Error R6025 Running XP Pro, MM2.1 and SP2. Every time I export my movie back into my DV camera, it stops at the same point (29%) and just hangs. After waitng an hour or so, I click Cancel and a pop-up comes on displaying: "Active Title Bar" = Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library "Window" = Runtime Error Program C:\Program Files\Movie maker\moviemk.exe R6025 - pure virtual function call I've been successful many times before without problems. Not sure what's causing this? I notice in some similar posts it mentions "if you are crashing and get a chance to send the report into MS, please do so, then post back the bucket number". As it does not crash I cannot send an error report. I also noticed in other posts mentions of "Microsoft Visual Studio". I've never heard of this so don't believe it's on my computer? I know my drives are installed properly and when I am asked to put the dvd-r or dvd+r into the correct drive I do and it does not recognize it. It looks alright when I play it back, but once I save it as an AVI (so I can encode it) I use a TMPGEnc to make it into a VCD. While watching the playback on my television the audio skips at times - sometimes more noticable than others...and the pictures or the transitions hesitate or have a boxed look to them. Movie maker nor XP can save to a dvd, you need to use other DVD authoring
software, such as Nero, tmpg dvd author, etc
