Is there a Windows or any other site for MM enthusiasts to show their
production?

In MovieMaker when you click File... Save Movie File you have the option to
save it to the web. Once the movie is published it will ask you for the
provider name that you wish to use to store your movie and give you an
option to sign up for an account if you don't already have one. For example
if you're in the States you can go to
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/moviemaker/partners.mspx which
currently shows Neptune MediaShare. There are probably other sites out there
that maybe others can recommend which allows the sharing of video files
manually.

Much obliged, Dean. Neptune is a commercial syre that charges a fee. Being a
green horn in movie making, I wonder if it is worth showing my production to
anyone at a cost :)

That revises my question to, "I there any free sites to broadcast MM movies
by starters like me?".

Thanks again, Dean.

If you are on a broadband and using XP Pro; then you may be able to setup
your own machine as the webserver.
Control Panel > Add Remove Programs > Add Remove Windows Components.

Enable "Internet Information Services" > "World Wide Web Service"

For more information and help see the online help files and may be consult
the IIS newsgroups.

Most ISPs provide some website space as part of the service, and most people
don't use it. Check that first.

Thank you Rehan & PapaJohn (and Dean) very kindly; I will check out both your
suggestions.

I remember using a free Microsoft web server software to launch my web pages
from my desktop, to friends and shut it down at my convenience. Is that
server software still available?

Thanks & regards,
Basil
