I need a program that will work with movie maker to I
can burn DVD's. Are there any good programs that won't
cause major problems with the computer (XP) and won't
break the bank. Personally, I enjoy using Windows Movie
Maker for its use and I don't want to buy a entirely new
program. Thanks for any thoughts.

Rick,

DVD burners usually come with software.... use it first. Any of the software
packages will work with the output from Movie Maker 2.... you might have to
do an intermediate conversion, but you can get there without investing in
more software.
