Hi,

I just installed MS Plus Digital Media Edition along with Windows Movie
Maker 2.0. Everything seems to work fine except that I do not any of the
Transitions and Effects in the movie maker which came with DME. I only see
the standard ones. I checked the installation of DME and it seems fine. The
DLL and XML files get copied into the AddOnTFX folder. Could someone please
shed some light about how do I fix this issue?

Thank you.

After installing Plus! DME, you need to restart MM2 to see them - but then
the additional ones should appear in the collections.

I have restarted MM2, reinstalled MM2, restarted the computer several times,
and also reinstalled DME a couple of times but for some reason it just
doesn't see the additional stuff. Any ideas?

Thank you.

You can try manually registering the DLL if you are comfortable doing a
command line.

If the Plus!_TransFX.DLL file is in the Movie Maker\Shared\AddOnTFX folder,
run the command line in the folder >

regsvr32 Plus!_TransFX.DLL

Thank you. I will give that a try tonight and will post the result.

DLL and XML files are in Program Files\Movie Maker\Shared\AddOnTFX folder. I
registered the DLL but it didn't make any difference. I also registered all
the DLLs in the MM folder but it didn't help. I simply cannot see any
additional effects and transitions. I also tried copying around the DLL and
XML file within the MM folder to no help.

Thank you.

Try installing the Windows Media Encoder package - there's a link on my
Setup... Software page

Maybe it'll fix or add any of the underlying version 9 engine items you need
