    - Can't import Video I have a video on my desk top computer, in my videos. When I try to import it into Windows Movie Maker I get the following message:The file C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\My Videos\Video_DAir01.wmv is not indexed and cannot be imported.     - ntdll.dll error Please help: Problem: 19/20 times I try to open my very large movie file, the program locks up with the error message of the faulting module ntdll.dll (or 1/30 times it's a problem with mpeg2dmx.ax). What I've done: I've tried to rename ntdll.dll and outright delete it in attempt to remedy the problem. It cannot be deleted and when I rename it the original file regenerates.     - no sound with MM from VCR I have good video, no sound. No sound during capture, no sound at all. I am using ATI All In Wonder 2006 PCI Express....firewire...I'm coming into pc from a 5 year young VCR..I go from the VCR "out" with RCA to the "AV" inputs going into the pc..I've tried many different combinations..still no sound...I even contacted "mydeo" who will host me putting the video on a website...they can't help...I can't blame them.     - splitting audio and video I need to get a sound of a cell phone ringing on my movie. My computer does not have a microphone (so I can't use the "narration" mode).     - AVI movie burning?? I have movie clips saved to my computer that are avi and they play fine in wmp, but when I burn them from windows media experience to a dvd the audio is fine, but the picture is distorted and looks tripled on my tv screen. I tried saving the clips to my computer through wmm, but the sound is a second or two off when I play it back on my computer or tv, however the picture is fine. I tried to save it to my computer as DV-AVI, but it took up so much space my computer couldn't do it and the clip is only 30 minutes long.     - Lost Video File 2 days ago I imported video into Windows Movie Maker. The video streamed in nicely and I saved the file. Movie Maker generated a number of "clip boxes" for the project .     - saving movies Thanx papa john. . .i did a little research already and i was able to increase the amount of space for temporary internet files, i think i read to do that somewhere, and i did a little troubleshooting on my own. I went in and made a real small movie and it saved fine. I then went and tried to re-save my movie again. . .it is 1.2 gigs, to my surprise i got an actual estimate of time to complete, rather than just . . . .! So this is a start. I think my problem may be that my file is too big. Did i read something about splitting somewhere? Would that be the way to go or what? Or should i just try and save it as is.     - cannot save movie file Hi, I am getting this error message when trying to save my movie. WMM cannot save the mvie to the specified location. Verify that the original source file used in your movie are still available, taht the saving location is still available, and that there is enough free disk space available and the try again.     - Error when adding music to movie I have a Panasonic NV-GS75 and I download my movies directly via Firewire to Microsoft Movie Maker 2.1. I can edit, add titles then publish my movies just fine.     - iTunes has messed up MM saving function Unfortunately, I recently installed iTunes 6.0.2.23 and Quicktime 7.0.4. in order to view some quicktime movies from a friend.     - Audio when saving to AVI-PAL O'K... so I've created a nice movie in WMM2 with its own soundtrack, start- and end titles, transitions and so on. Took me round a week to do. Now I would like to save it down to one of my hard discs as an .avi file (PAL system) and than burn a HQ DVD. The saving process goes smooth, about 20 minutes ( movie itself has about 35 minutes), no comunicate about error or anything. The final file has round 7GB but it does not matter. Quality is perfect .... but there is no sound at all!!! I tried to save as any other file like .wmv. No problemo! Video and sound are O'K (with the quality typical to that system of coding). So why no sound at .avi?!?!?!? The source files are in .avi, from digital camcorder via IEEE 1394 (FireWire) and are perfect. Help needed. I would be very greatefull as well as my frinds.     - editing film clips I am new to recording and have a question. I recorded a video that is just a stationary shot of someone talking for a few minutes. One of the lights I was using is visible in the shot after I capture it to the computer (it was not visible on the viewing screen of the video camera). Is there any way to "crop" a clip?     - Audio problems when editing home videos Does not seem to matter wich movie editing software I use. The talking seems pingy and distorted. Gets worse as the person's talking voice get's louder. I have component video going through the 500-USB and I have the component audio going into the microphone port of my soundcard (because Movie Maker doesn't seem to recognize the audio if I put it through the 500-USB).     - Importing Files w/wmm I captured analog video using the TV Tuner and WMM on my Dell XPS. I was able to watch the video during cature. It save the 30 mg file as a .wmv However, when I try to import the file MM displays an Importing FDiles box with two progress bars. Top bar is complete, bottom bar does not change. I have left it this way for 30 min. I know the video in reaching the hard drive. I also recorded the video using XP media center (considerably larger file) and was able to wacth it.     - WMM only saves part of the movie! I'm making a movie (or more of a slide show) that has several hundreds JPEGs in it. I'm up to about 15 minutes right now (at four seconds per picture generally). The movie plays fine in WMM itself but when I try to save it as an actual movie to my computer or to a CD it won't save the entire thing. I have plenty of hard drive space and I've tried it on a PC that has 512MG RAM AND 1GB RAM and the same thing happened. It says it saves okay but then when I play it in Media Player partway in the pictures stop rotating and the screen goes black and a couple minutes later the audio stops as well. Any ideas?     - Hang upon Running WMM 2.1 When I open WMM 2.1, as soon as I click on something, the program hangs. It has been this way since I had to replace my hard drive. I have been to PapaJohn's WMM site and nothing posted there seemed to help. So I have come to believe that it is NOT a codec issue (at least not one of the 20 listed on PapaJohn's site) The only way I am able to get WMM 2.1 to run is to first remove the MEDIATAB*.DAT file in the folder C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Movie Maker. But this is absurd because the MEDIATAB*.DAT file contains all the data on the clips I had in the Collections folders, so upon removing this file, I have no clips to use and have to re-import them. But it is no guarantee that the program will not hang when I go to edit the clips. Even so, the next time I go to run WMM, it hangs, and I must once again remove the MEDIATAB*.DAT file if I wish to use the program. Is there anyone who can think of a permanent solution that allows me to keep the clips in the Collections folders?     - Problem capturing audio in Windows MovieMaker When I try to capture a video I can only get the video only and no audio. I have a vcr hooked up to a Dazzle DVC (Digital Video Creator) 90 video capture card and have the proper connections (video in going from vcr to Video In on capture card and both audio inputs right and left) and just can't get any sound. I also have Studio 9 QuickStart software from Pinnacle Systems in which I can hear the sound and see the video together.     - Error Message when selecting Capture from video device I bought a Dazzle DVC 80 and installed on my PC running XP. I was able to capture the video but no sound. I tried all different types of connections and input sources with the exception of MICROPHONE. I highlight microphone because I noticed someone else had the same problem that I originally had and Microphone was the Input option I needed. Well I seemed to have answered my first problem but I have a bigger problem. While I was trying to figure out how to get sound. I noticed that in the "audio device" dropdown it had my sound card listed. I also noticed that in the drop down was the video capture device "DVC 80 16k Audio(2). So I selected that...That did not work either. Now when I start up Movie Maker and hit "capture from video device" I get an error message stating "No such interface supported". I'm pretty sure its from me changing the audio device from my soundcard to the capture device. Unfortunetaly I can't switch it back because everytime the error message comes up I have to hit "ok" and it closes down where you can change the audio options. I wish to make a slide show presentation using still photographs. I've tried
PowerPoint but find the features are difficult to use and the effects are
limited but the picture resolution is great. I've tried movie maker and find
it easy to use, has great effects but the picture resolution is not good. Is
there something within Movie Maker that limits the resolution, can I change
it or is there a better product than Movie Maker for creating slide shows?
