I have a Logitech Clicksmart 510 webcam that will capture
motion video as an .avi file (small clips: 10-30
seconds). I have captured several clips and imported
them into my collections in MM2. When I drag the clips
to the timeline and add a transition, MM2 generates an
error and closes.

The details of the error are:
AppName: moviemk.exe AppVer: 2.0.3312.0 ModName:
sp5x_32.dll
ModVer: 1.10.0.0 Offset: 0000448a

I have done a little poking around the Internet and from
what I can tell, the sp5x_32.dll is installed with the
Logitech software and is a 32-bit avi codec. I have
reviewed the Acceleration and Codecs information at
papajohn.org but cannot find a resolution.

I can reproduce the error and it is always the
sp5x_32.dll module.
I have tried using MM1 and get the same result.
It appears that the clips created with the Clicksmart 510
REQUIRE the sp5x_32.dll but this codec is not compatible
with MM2.

Is anyone else having success with the Clicksmart 510 and
MovieMaker2? Any ideas on how I can make these clips
usable with MM2?
