Yes, what George said....I have a HC-40 Sony camcorder, and I tried and tried
with USB but to no avail. I finally got a firewire IEEE1394. You connect
one end to your camera and the other end into a 'firewire' port on your
computer....and then click on
capture inside Movie Maker 2. Some older computers don't have a firewire
port though, so I hope yours has one.
