When I try to capture video via USB from my Panasonic NV-DS65 video camera
the resulting footage is very jerky as though the fps is too low.

My system purchased in 2003 consists of:

a AMD Athlone XP 2800+ processor
nVidia nForce2 motherboard with dual channel DDR
1GB DDR
250GB SATA Hard Drive
ATI Radeon 128MB 9800SE All In Wonder graphics Card
Is there anything obviously wrong with my set up and how do I correct it?
Any suggestions gratefully received.

=================================
Try using your Firewire (IEEE-1394)
connection instead of USB to download
the video.
