I have used Windows Movie Maker before to capture video
from the same camera I'm using now. However, the
original capture had a sound problem, so I went back to
capture it again. Now, when the "Capture from video
device" dialog opens, it immediately gives a message
of "No such interface supported." Once I press "OK," the
dialog closes and I cannot change the settings for the
capture to remedy this problem, assuming that is the
cause. Any suggestions are appreciated.

It's a Canon 2R70 MC digital video through an AVer DVD
Maker Pro PCI capture card. Originally it captured video
and no sound, but I think that was just a problem with
the settings on Movie Maker, not the connection or the
camera.

What device are you using - brand and model? And how is it connected - USB
or firewire?

What video device?
What type of connection?

I would hazard a guess though you are using USB, this is just no good, you
need to use firewire. If the cam (?) is analogue then you need to get a good
analogue to digital convertor or an analogue capture card.

Sorry no. You'll need to unchange the configuration, try using syste
restore?
