    - Video/Audio ot of Sync After I burned a DVD of my movie the audio is a few seconds behind the video. Audio and video was in sync when my project was completed in Movie Maker, was in sync when I previewed it in MyDVD before I burned the DVD. The problem only surfaced after I played movie back on a DVD player. I've added one JPEG image at the end of my movie with a duration of about 6 seconds. Could this be the cause of my concern?     - Slideshow goes black in playback & possible workaround I've been searching for hours for solutions and realize my problem is similar, but possibly not exactly like others have experienced before. Basically, I've imported a ton of pictures & audio, making a slideshow. In the PREVIEW window, it plays perfectly, unlike the other posts I've read. My problem is when I save it to my computer, eventually the jpg's stop showing up, just a black screen. But the audio and the Title Overlays still show (never read about this before) All pictures are 1600x1200 jpg's. I can take the same exact project, export it 5 times, and the spot it starts going blank changes every time. I've taken the saved files to other computers, and it's not just my computer on playback. For each individual file, it goes black at the same place consistently. Unless I've misunderstood, it's also not a codec issue. Atleast not the normal one as I understand it, because exporting as AVI also has this issue. However, if I choose "Video for Broadband - 512" the video is perfect (at least on 3 tries so far). I've tried most of the other options, and the others all have the black screen problem. Any thoughts? I can export the video under one option so it's not critical, but it would be nice to be able to save at a higher bitrate/resolution. I'm also wondering if anyone is having the exact same problem, or if the "Video for Broadband" solution works for anyone else having similar black screen issues.     - WMM Crashing I have a very large MPG file (16 gig) I am trying to split down to managable size files WMM load the file and displays the first frame. However when I press play the display remains black. If I move the play cursor along the pklay track and press split, WMM reacts correctly and displays a second file in the Collection area with the new first frame correctly displayed. Then the fun begins as I drag the first section to the Storyboard. WMM crashes and needs to close.     - Movie Maker Crashes Hi there, Does Movie Maker crash on you unexpectedly? Your problem may be caused by a codec that Movie Maker does not like. This a very common issue. Your one-stop-don't-need-to-look-anywhere-else Solution is with a program called "Rename Codecs". Instead of reading miles of dross that is full of maybe's and perhaps's just run the program, it takes a few moments to identify all of the known codecs that cause this problem and gives you the opportunity of renaming them, or, you can now use the new Auto feature in version 1.5 and let the program take care of virtually everything to do with this problem You can then run Movie Maker and immediately determine if it actually was a codec issue. If it was a codec issue Movie Maker will now run properly. If it was not the issue, you have lost nothing more than a short amount of time. Whether or not it was a codec issue you must run the program once more and restore the problem codecs to their original names. The two procedures together can take less time than it did to read this message and a whole lot less than reading mountains of bumph that may or may not apply to you. The program "Rename Codecs" is free and available from my website. While there it would be a good idea to check out the tutorial on how to run the program...that will take around one minute of your time!!!     - Audio "Skips" When I saved my movie to tape in my camcorder the most recent audio that I put into it skipped throughout the songs. I converted these songs to .wma files via Roxio East CD Creator 5. The first set of songs I used do not skip and play fine. I don't think I used Roxio to convert those (I stumbled through the proces at the time -- trying anything -- and cannot remember exactly how I converted those files). I have Windows Media Player and MUSICMATCH Jukebox but I cannot figure out how to convert regular music file from CD's in either of those two programs. Any advice? Thanks in advance.     - Feature Suggestion: remove senseless remote desktop restriction MM refuses to launch under remote desktop. The developers probably thought that playing video via remote desktop would be to agonizing, and that is mostly the case However, you can still do plenty, especially using the remote computer as a movie rendering workhorse. However, you first have to attach a monitor and physically sit at the remote machine to launch MM. Given that MM crashes pretty easily while saving big movies, this is a procedure that is painful to keep repeating Please remove the restriction.     - save movie file to hard disk I can't save a movie file to my computer. First I click File->Save Movie File. Next I enter a file name for the saved movie and I choose the place to save the movie. I select the default name and I choose "My Computer" for the place to save my movie. Finally I select "Best quality for playback on my computer (recommended). I get an error. "Cannot Complete the Save Movie Wizard." It indicates I should verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available. They are and they are called test.wmv and test.Untitled.MSWMM. It indicates that I need to confirm the "saving location is still available". It is. It indicates I need "enough free disk space available". I think 3GB is enough. The original file, test.wmv is 5 MB. The test.Untitled.MSWMM is 695 KB. I'm running Windows XP with 640 MB of RAM. I have 3 GB free space. It's a Pentium III. Any ideas on a fix for this problem.     - VCD easy works Well Hi, I used WMM2 for the first time this last week and made mothers day gifts for my mother and my wifes mother. Worked pretty well except when it came time to burn. I used nero at first and it had all sorts of problems with drivers messing with each other. I downloaded VCD Easy and it took care of those pretty well and burned them without any problems. I used FX Video conveter and it was pretty easy to use too. My question is there a way to get a menu on a VCD like in a DVD start up? Do I need to use Nero or some other software to do this? Check the notes on my Digital Camcorders++ > DigiCams page.

Still cameras that include a video feature will save the files in a number
of different formats.... if the file doesn't import into MM2, then you'll
need to do a file conversion first.
