This board suggested that since I don't have a firewire cable, I cannot use
MM2 to capture DV video at high quality. It was suggested I use another
service which would allow me to capture it with USB and then import the video
into MM2. When I import the MPG, I get the Windows Error window :

Windows Movie Maker has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are
sorry for the inconvenience.

I've tried this with a smaller file and the same thing happens. I also read
John Kelly's reports on what to do and I'm still getting it. Please advise.

This is why it's best to use firewire. You now need to convert the mpeg to
an avi file.
