Please help.
I've been reading and searching posts for 3 days, my main mission is that on
my DELL PC upstairs i want to edit the home movie dvd's i made on my mac with
IDVD downstairs.
So starting with moviemaker reading here i learned i should use NERO import
it in and then convert via nero's export command it to avi for use in
moviemaker.
1- I'm getting the import into nero express with no problem.
2- im trying to run the export command and im crashing constantly
--freezing. I'm choosing avi as the file type and yes plent of room on my
hard drive.
3- Im picking only 1 of the 3 or 4 files on thie hour long dvd now, because
the export command is giving me these ridiculous ETA times, of 5,6,7,8,or
even 9 hours,,,THEN FREEZING.
question- IS THERE A SIMPLE STUPID WAY TO IMPORT AND EDIT A DVD THAT YOU
MADE ON ANOTHER COMPUTER? IS NERO THE BEST FOR THE EDITING TOO?
2- should this export command be taking so long for a 20 min clip for example?

I've read user reviews on dealers sites and all the apps seem to have their
problems including nero, pinnacle,,,etc,,,,hasnt Bill Gates come up with
something all inclusive like apple's steve jobs did?
I'm doing my captures on apple, cause thats where everything is,,,but i need
it free for my Protools audio work, so i want to edit the vids on the pcs
upstairs,.
PLZ HELP
