Whenever I try to import video files already uploaded from my camera to my
hard-drive, I get this gibberish:

"<file name> could not be imported. An interface has too many methods to
fire events from."

Never mind what it actually means, what can I do now?

I suspect the solution will be to convert the
files to a compatible format.
