    - Help connecting JVC GR-D73 camcorder to laptop I've got a JVC GR-D73 camcorder and I want to connect it to my laptop so that I can play the films into Windows Movie Maker. Trouble is that I've lost the disk that came with the camcorder and so when I connec the camcorder via the DV to the laptop it recognises it but cannot install it.     - Audio and viewing of slideshows are skipping I am making slideshows with music. Everthing is working ok. I have a 1 hour slideshow with music. But sometimes in the beginning or near the end it start skipping. Both the music and the slide viewing happens at the same time. What I think is that I need to clean the DVD player even that it is new. They work ok in my DVD drive of the computer. Any idees anyone?     - AVI format compression What I want to do is to transfer(burn) about one 60 minutes of avi file (which is 60 minute tape of mini DV cassette) into one DVD disk (4.7 GB).     - Freeing up disk space The time has come where I need to free up disk space on my two hard drives. I have MovieMaker projects saved, movies made from projects and raw video from tapes that I used to import into the projects. I put all the movies made from the projects on DVD's.     - Capture preview stuck on TV Tuner When I try to capture from the composite input of my TV tuner card, everything sets up fine but when I get to the last screen the preview is showing live TV?     - Capturing Video Way too Fast??? I backed up some videos from my camcorder a few months ago and had no problem. I put them on an external portable drive. Anyway yesterday i was trying to backup some new video and movie maker is capturing the video at first correctly but then it starts capturing it in super fast motion - the voices are sped up so they sound really strange and the video is super fast also. I thought maybe it was the disck but i tried two others. Then i tried a new external hard drive and it still kept doing it.     - Media Edition "Save to DVD" & Run issues I had to reload XP Media edition and I have two problems with Movie Maker now that I didn't have before. The first one is that when I open Movie Maker I get the "An error has occurred and movie maker must be shut down" error. The second one is that where I had the "Save to DVD" option before, I do not have it now after reloading XP Media edition. I have of course done all the microsoft updates. I also am aware of the other brand software that I can use but I would really like full functionality back for movie maker.     - Vista Movie Maker Crashes Rendering (EVERYTIME) HELP Okay, I'm ready to toss this program even though I love using it. I can make the nicest videos in a the shortest amount of time with Windows Movie Maker. It's all I ever really needed. Now I've been trying to use the Vista Version on my full Home Premium version on a computer wtih 2gb of RAM a GeForce 6800 video card and a 3.2 Athlon 64 rig. I can edit the video (WMV's) without any problems as it's stable as rock, but as soon as I go to render it, the video which is only 3 and half minutes, it crashes within seconds. I've heard that Nero is a fault, I've unistalled that, I've disabled the capatibility codecs in the program to no avail. The weird thing is when I just drop my clips in there without any transition or music or cutting all together it will render it. But if I drag and drop clips have fades and music, it chokes. What can I do? I've tried removing the music and leaving everything else...didn't work, I tried removing all transitions, it didn't work. Is there a solution or something else to try? PLEASE! But when I went back tried to record my movie thru DVD Creation (Sonic Solutions) a window opens stating "Movie Maker cannot create DVD because an error occurred". No explanation of this "error".     - What am I doing wrong? If anything.... I recently finished a "movie" complete with music track. Bravo. Trouble is the cd that I copied to will only play on my pc (Windows XP program) not in my dvd player that I use in the living room.     - how to edit a dvd that was created by converting a vhs tape I just converted a vhs tape of home movies to dvd with a dvd/vhs player/recorder. Now I want to edit it in movie maker. It created 2 folders, Video rm and Video ts. In the ts foler are .bup,.vop, and.iso files. In the rm folder are .ifo,.dat and .bup files. How do I import these into movie maker?
