When I place a video clip in the timeline, and try to preview it, there is no
sound. And when I save the movie, the saved movie has no audio either. It
worked for a couple of movies I made, then it just quit for some reason. I
didn't make any changes to my computer. How can I fix this?

Thanks in advance,
Russ

Also, they are not MPEG files. They are clips I download from my analog
video tapes, and they worked before, and then quit working all of a sudden.

I get the same thing. But it seems to happen after I have dropped an audio
track on to the Timeline. If I select the audio track and then press OK
without doing anything else it appears to be okay for a while and then the
problem re-occurs. I am also finding the my sound moves out of sync with
the picture.

I've started using ArcSoft's ShowBiz 2. It's much better and MUCH less
quirky. I've had no problems at all, and it has a few more features than MM.
(I hope Microsoft doesn't give me the plague now.)

You could try right clicking on the file in the timeline view and select
volume from there a slider will appear for you to make it louder or even mute.
