My Windows Movie Maker has the immensely frustrating
habit of shutting itself off during editing. I tried
slowing down the acceleration, but no joy. I read
elsewhere that I may have a codec issue, but though I've
tried messing about with Zoomplayer, I'm not entirely
sure what I'm supposed to be doing.

I'm slowly losing the will to live so any advice would be
very welcome.
