I have Adobe Premeire Pro 1.5, Edius 2.5, and several Serious Magic
applications.

But, for 75% of what I need to accomplish, these monster applications are
overkill, not to mention expensive. For those who want a little more that
what MSMM has to offer, Adobe just came out with Premeire Elements 2.0. A
trial is available.

For most hobbiests, to make the jump from a free application to a full NLE
program that costs several hundred dollars is not feasible. But this may
help with some of the 'heavy lifitng' you are trying to accomplish with
MSMM, and at only 99.00, it's a bargain.

If you are going to spend, take a look at Serif MoviePlus 4. It's not that
expensive and it beats the crap out of Pinnacle and the others I've tried.
Has unlimited audio and video tracks and is pretty easy once you get onto
it.

Earlier versions were crap, but ver 4 is great.
