I made a movie in Photo Story 3 and saved it to my computer (.wmv). Just
photos, transitions, and music. I tried to open it in Movie Maker to see if
I could tweak one of the songs to fit the ending of the photos (which I had a
hard time doing in Photo Story) and it opened the movie in "groups" of
photos. Meaning, photos 1-8 were all under one clip, photos 9-30 were under
another clip, etc. It opened 6 clips, all with a different number of photos
included in them. I can't edit movies made in Photo Story 3 in Movie Maker?
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you for your time.

Photo Story 3 created a WMV video file.
This video was imported into Movie Maker and split into separate clips.
The only way you can edit it at all now is to split the clips and add any
transitions etc... that you want.
You can import the movie as one video by removing the checkmark next to
"Create clips for video files" in the import file dialog box.
Alternately you can select all the clips in the collection by clicking on
one and pressing CTRL+A then right clicking and clicking "Combine"

Thank you for the quick reply. As you said in your "How-to," this is very
time consuming and my little movie just isn't that important. It's just
archiving some photos. I just thought that I would be able to import a Photo
Story 3 project into Movie Maker and do some editing. Obviously, it doesn't
work that way. Thanks again and keep up the good work here.

Thanks
No unfortunately the two programs are completely different and are not
compatible in that way. It is an interesting thought though.
