I'm connected via USB in Win XP as I used with my old Sony
DCR-TRV340 (that functioned great). When I open MM2 and
try to capture video from my MiniDV tape, nothing happens.
MM2 didn't recognize that the camcorder was there. I then
switched to Memory Stick mode and the computer recognized
it right away.
I can't either see the camcorder in the Control Panel even
though I installed the drivers.
Can you help me please?

Thanx in advance.

You don't need any drivers with XP and firewire or are you trying to
download vids using USB? You shouldn't need any drivers for the USB either.
My TRV33 works OK using firewire.

Do you switch your camera to "play" instead of "record"?

Hi.

I've seen many times the fault was the IEEE-1394 (aka firewire, aka i.Link)
cable -> 1st try another cable
