I'm using Movie Magic 2 & I have a recordable CD-Drive (not DVD drive)
I have a 5 minute movie which i want to output at best possible quality onto the CD so that it is playable on a DVD player

Surely full quality will fit onto a CD as the movie is only 5 minutes? Canit be done
What software can be used

any help appreciated, thanks

The best you can make is an SVCD. Which is DVD format video but sometimes at
less than DVD quality. Only some DVD players support that. Most DVD
authoring software will do that. I like Ulead DVD Movie Factoy or DVD
Workshop. Check dvdrhelp.com for SVCD info and check the DVD Player section
for compatibility of your target players. They probably also have freeware
to do it at that site.

Actually, a step up from SVCD is Mini-DVD, which is an option in Nero6. You
need to encode to MPG2 and author using 3rd party stuff (WMM2 doesn't do
that, I like TMPGEnc+ and TMPG DVD Author), and if it comes in at under
650MB, Nero6 can burn the VOBs to a CDR that should be viewable by most DVD
players.

Caveat - I haven't actually tried using Nero to do this, but it is an option
in the new version.
