I have a MM project that is roughly 30 min captured in DV-AVI format. The
file is over 6 GB and I'm getting an error when trying to save the movie. I
have plenty of free disk space and the command prompt is already in NTFS
format. The original clips and music are all still intact and the save file
location is available. How can save a movie this size?

Hello,

You do not say what the problem is. A file size of 6GB for 30mins of DV-AVI
is quite acceptable. Are you asking how to make the final file smaller, or
are you saying you get an error message....If you are getting an error
message what does it say...Exactly

I'm not sure exactly. The error message reads "Window movie maker cannot save
the movie. Check that the source files are still available, that the save
location is still available and that there is enough available disk space and
try again."

All of these things are okay on my computer. I am able to save a smaller
movie. I maxed out my available VM at 3072. I have 105 GB of available hard
drive space. My computer is already in NTFS format.
