As a gramndmother, I take a lot of video of the grandchildren because I am
not always fast enough to capture the best pictures. I want to extract
single frames from the video to print as photos. Any suggestions? My
computer runs WindowsXP Porofessional and Windows Movie Maker version 2.1.

Piece of cake.
1) Import your video into Movie Maker.
2) Select the video (it doesn't need to be dragged to the timeline).
3) Play the video in the preview window.
4) Pause the video when you get to a frame you want as a still image.
5) Click he little camera in the lower right corner of the preview (it has a
tooltip: Take a Picture).
6) A dialog box will open allowing you to save the picture as a JPG.

Done.

Thank you so very much for taking the time to answer. It does work!
Now I can even catch the five year old dribbling a basketball.

What about getting the picture to be the original video size of 720 x 480?
Mine always saves at 320 x 240.

Thanks,

Arnie
