Edit Question: Overlay picture on video?

Hello,

Does anyone know if windows movie maker has the ability to lay a picuture
over parts of a video WITHOUT losing that portion of the video's audio. I
want to splice in some pictures to my video but when I do it loses the audio
portion until it has moved past the picture.

Add a second copy of the clip with the audio to the timeline, but drag it
down to the music/audio track. Movie Maker will treat it as an audio clip
and it won't be effected by the editing you do of the video track. Mute the
audio clips that you don't want to overlap
