    - How to wmv. files to a dvd I just finished making a movie using Windows Moviemaker 2. I used photos that I scanned in to make it. I have saved it to my hardrive and it plays fine in the media player. The problem is that I can not seem to figure out how to save it to a dvd.     - MM1 I upgraded to MM2 and am not happy. Is there any place I can still download original moviemaker? I have my XP disk but cant seem to find out how to reinstall just moviemaker.If not, can you tell me why MM2 takes way too long to save the finished project, as opposed to the original version taking just a few minutes for the same project?     - Connection problem I have windowsxp pro. I have a Sony 950 camcorder that I am trying to connect to my Dell computer. I have a USB cable to connect with but I can't get the movie maker software to recognize the camera. The camera comes with a disk that included drivers, and image mixer program and a Directx install. I followed the install instructions and I think it is recognizing the USB connection. It does however mention checking the camera "mode". Any suggestions would be appreciated.     - Freezing Once I create a Movie file, save it, then close, and then want to come back and edit it, my computer, or more accuarately, Movie Maker, freezes up and I'm forced to close the program.     - Canon ZR50 After reinstalling Windows XP, Moviemaker will not capture video from my canon ZR50 Digital Video camera. The camera is connected using an IEEE1394 port (TI controller.) After connecting the camera PC recognizes it, shows the correct camera on the list of video devices (Canon ZR50 and WinTV capture card), after pressing next,I am given the choice of File mane and place to save video, after selecting these, I select video setting (Best quality for playback on pc), next. Then I've tried both options - Capture tape automatically OR Capture tape manually. After pressing next, tape rewinds and starts, process moves to second step, capturing video, then stops with the following VERY HELPFUL message, "An unknown error has occurred." Is this a codec problem? I have tried all of the options in the initial capture screens without success. PC is a HP Pavilon, 3.0 GHz processor, 512 meg ram, 120 gig HD, 86 gig free, built in Firewire.     - VHS Tapes to COmputer using Windows Movie Maker 2 Hello, I used the Video in and out capability of my video card to do a capture this morning from VHS, only problems are, I get a white bar across some frames, and also it seems to have dropped off the last few minutes of the video(which was the end) otherwise it appears to look good, just like my other two that I done.     - Image is tiny in WMM When I upload images from my camcorder to WMM, the image is tiny in the middle of the screen. If I expand it, then its all pixelated and crappy. I know it will display better than that because i've played the recordings back directly through my TV and it looked fine on my 18" - 20" ish TV screen I just want to be sure that when I eventually put these images on DVD, they will fill the entire TV screen like a conventional TV broadcast Thanks Nick.     - Compressing Video I have a three minute flight video that I would like to place on a standard CD. So far each time I try to transfer the files to the CD, I get the notice that the CD can't hold the files.     - Help for JVC Owners I had a problem with my JVC Digital Camcorder. MM2 would not capture the movie and would not recognize the movie if I captured it with the provided software. I was using the USB. This is an audio problem. I don't know of a software fix, but here is the workaround. Connect your camera using USB, then the headphone jack to the mic jack in the computer.     - Dedicated hard drive for my video files I am starting to enjoy using my miniDv camcorder and realize I am running tight on disk space. I have a laptop with 40 Gig HD. I also have a Firewire PC Card with 2 ports - one to connect my camcorder. As I am about to buy a second HD, an extermal model, for my camcorder files - would it be a good idea to get a Firewire HD to connect to the 2nd port on my card ?     - I too see MM2 close when trying to add transitions I captured some home movies last evening, using Win MM2 to do so. When I set up my timeline, all of the clips appear and drag just fine. As soon as a drag a transition down in between the clips, the program closes immediately. Now, I changed my hardware acceleration to 3 as PapaJohn suggested to another poster, but I'm not understanding codec part.     - Darker when saved Hi. When i have finished my movie and saved it to my computer (even in the best quality), the finished movie gets darker than what i get in the preview in moviemaker. I know i can add brightness several times as an effect, but can anyone tell me why it gets darker in the firs place, and if there is anything i can do to prevent it?     - newb needs help with slide show I'm trying to create a simple slideshow from scanned photos using MM2. I've scanned the photos (all are either 5x7s or 7x5) at 300 dpi, saved as jpg. Most have a resolution of 1812x1196. I've experimented by saving the movie in several different formats such as DV-AVI, "Best quaity for playback on my computer...", etc. Yet regardless of the movie format, the images still come out significantly blurry. To illustrate, in IrfanView Full screen mode, I can clearly make out the smallest text on a street sign. But in WMP9 full screen, I can't even make out the larger letters on that same sign in the movie. I know others have asked this question before but I've yet to see an answer posted here*. How can I get the same clarity of the original jpg in a full screen movie? Do I need to crop my image to a certain H/W ratio? I've tried resampling to varios resolutions with Irfanview but that only made the pictures more blurry. The video will be projected via an InFocus projector from a Powerbook (Mac). Can someone help me get the best possible quality of these images from MM2? * I've seen several references to PapaJohn's pages, but the links all appear to be dead at this time.     - MM2 is slow after dropping transition When I drag and drop a transition onto the storyboard, I need to wait about 30 seconds to do next thing. My project includes 200 still pictures. It takes 37 minutes to play. My system includes Celeron 2.6 Ghz CPU, 768 MB RAM and 80GB hard drive. The task manager shows 100% CPU and about 400MB RAM usage. Nothing is running in background. When the number of pictures is small, I don't have this problem. What does the MM2 is doing after I drop a transition? It is very time consuming to make a picture show.     - Exporting from Moviemaker Problems I have been having problems exporting a 54 minute, 11Gb project out of Moviemaker, first to DV tape, and cannot get a smoothly running movie. The sound is perfect in my computer, but skips in places on the tape, not always in the same places on different copies. I've tried emptying everything unnecessary out of memory, de-fragging, etc, but nothing helps. Then, I've tried to save the project to my hard drive, or burn it to CD. No luck. After 6 or 8 hours I get non-specific messages saying that either the memory is full, or the file is missing something, or something else is wrong. Nothing specific. I have a Sony computer with Click to DVD on it, but that won't accept the Moviemaker format. All the professionals who I've asked laugh when I say I have Windows Moviemaker, and can offer no help.     - DV device not recognized Sony GV-D1000 deck connected to movie maker 2. When I do this, I can't capture via the "vcr conrols" in movie maker2 (they don't appear). I created a movie in WWM 1...saved it in the avi. format...now I can't view all the special effects that I used in my movie, only the audio/video portion, and the effects is what makes it special. I put a lot of work into creating the movie for someone special. Pleeeeze help me!! Thanks In Advance
