I have a model GR-AXM310 JVC Digital Compact VHS
Camcorder. Is there any particular Firewire I need to
purchase to make it work with my computer; Windows XP Home
Edition?
Any help would be appreciated.

Any firewire which is more correctly called IEEE1394 will work.

What kind of adaptor cable must I purchase to go along
with a firewire? I only have two RCA ports on my camera;
Yellow-Video and White-Audio.

You need to purchase a PCI firewire card and most probably a 4-pin to 6-pin
firewire cable.

Joe....you should double-check your camcorder specs before purchasing
anything. VHS-C is NOT a digital format and cannot be captured using
Firewire. I just looked at the manual for your camcorder model on JVC's
web site and there is no mention of a firewire port on the camera (which
makes sense because VHS-C isn't digital). The only digital formats are
Mini-DV and Digital 8.

To capture from VHS-C you're going to need to get some type of analog
capture device. Please take a look at the following web page for more
information:
