I am trying to lengthen the amount of time one of my pictures stays on the
screen. I am going to Options, then advanced, and changing the time from 5
seconds to 10. I click okay, but it stays at 5 seconds. What step am I
missing?
Thanks again,
Amanda

The default duration you change from Tools->Options->Advanced is used next
time you move a still image into the timeline/storyboard. However the
duration of the pictures already placed on the timeline are not affected by
it.

Either discard your timeline and start over; the new pictures would have
your specified duration. Or change your view to Timeline (press the button
on the top left corner above the first clip in the storyboard): and grab the
right edge of one of the clip and move left or right to change its duration.
YOu have to do it individually for all clips.

Hello,

I would ignore the previous advice given...far to complex and over the top.

To alter the duration of the one picture you want to change. If not in Time
Line view switch to that first and then position the mouse over the right
hand edge of the image and when the cursor changes shape click and hold
down the mouse and drag the edge of the picture to the left or right as
required. There is nothing more to it than that.
