    - Video Capture upside down. Hi, I am using a Dazzle video collector 2006 PCI card in my computer when I use Microsoft Movie Make to Capture video in the preview screen it is upside down. When I drag the clip I have done to the preview window it is the right way up. The only problem is that in Preview it is upside down any help would be much appreciated.     - Automatically Closes! Windows Movie Maker gave me problems before, and the error report I sent in told me it had to do with ffdshow. I uninstalled that, and then I was able to finish a project. However now, no matter how small or big a project file is, it won't save as a movie file. I went to some of the links that was in "Where to find Movie Maker Support" to find an answer myself, but no luck. I'm desperate here, because the program doesn't even give me an error message nor does it freeze. It just closes everytime I try to convert the project into a file to watch. Please help.     - Distorted images transitioning into clips I am making a film that features short clips spliced together of dancing.     - Distortion in my pictures I have made a type of montage/slideshow with my pictures with audio and I plan on burning it to a DVD. But my problem is this...when i view it either on T.V. (I burned a preview on a DVD-WR) or even in Movie Maker the pictures appear at first distorted and then it looks like the pictures rearranges it self and smooths itself out.     - Text on screen Hello... I'm looking for a little help putting text on the screen. Is there a way to put a text overlay (like subtitle) on the top of the screen rather than just the bottom? Example would be how FOX Sports does theirs. THe ones I've seen through movie maker will squish the video and I don't want that. I would like a nice, clean score overlay on the top of the screen.     - Corrupted movie file I am unable to save my project as a movie file to burn to a CD. I am a teacher and doing this for my students. I need an answer as soon as possible. It stops at 58%. I have tried saving it in all of the other save settings to no avail. It has about a hundred pictures on it and I was able to burn a nother class with the same music and everything, but not this class. i apppreciate any help. The drama is that unless you have a disc with sp2 or download the whole thing you cant reinstall MM to rectify any errors.     - Font Distortion Everytime I use any type of font, when I preview it or burn it to DVD the fonts are all distorted and pixilated!     - Photostory3/MM2 does not play. I have emailed a Photostory3 to a friend. The file would open, but not play.     - movie is freezing up during playback Hi There, I'm having a problem with playback after rendering the movie. The video portion stalls however, the audio still plays and will play all the way through to the end of the movie. I have gone back into the movie project and if I move the picture frame that the video hangs up on and rerender the movie the movie will then play through but, stall on a different frame. I have tried different file sizes and types of movie styles to save the movie in and it continues to happen on a different frame each time. Also it if you replay the movies each time it will freeze on the same frame as it did the first time so it seems to be something to do with the picture or the transition effect.     - Problems Importing Some Files I have problems importing wmv. files to the Movie Maker Software. I don't understand what the problem is because it imported another file rather quickly but there is this one file that will import all the way up to 98% and stop...then movie maker freezes. I have to do a "manual" exit and of course the work is not saved. Another file would not even upload to 10% and then it hangs. How can this issue be resolved?! I'm kind of running out of time here. So I decided to come up with something goofy for my nephew and give me some video to edit.     - Since auto update installed CD Max, files won't save ... :>( MM 2.0.3312.0 Windows XP Pro 2002, SP2 Pentium 4 / 3-GHz 512 MB RAM 40-GB available HDD I've used MM for some time, on files up to 100 MB, without problems, until Windows auto update installed the CD Max patch. Since then, any file over 5 MB goes into an infinite wait when saving to computer. The panel displays a hard drive file definition to save into, but a top line message says, e.g., ... preparing to save file to CD ROM - 9743286 estimated mins to save. I uninstalled the CD MAX application in Control Panel / Add-Remove ..., which completed normally per messages. After a reboot, the CD-Max logo still appeared in the Save Movie panel, and the preceding CD-RoM save message still appears in MM. Any assistance appreciated. I'm in the process of converting family movies for our children, and want to finish before the family reunion in August. If MM can't be fixed in a timely manner, what other commercial software package would do the trick, to enable me to finish. I'm AV-challenged, so simple apps are good ... :>) Thanks ... It's better if you use a Firewire cable for tranferring your footage. The
USB cable is usually used for stills.
