I have MM2 abd I just spent 3 hours making a little photo
slide show with music and cool transisitions and now the
darn this won't save. Help! It says to check the source
location of the original files (which I did and are fine)
and the place where I am saving (which has no restrictions
on it) and the amount of save available (2GB should be
plently). I checked everything it told me to check. What
else can I look at to see what the problem is? Thanks!

Laura,

Thanks to the info documented on papajohn.org, I was previously just having
this problem which I just got fixed, and these were the steps in my case.

I reinstalled MM2 but the version of my qasf.dll file still was reading
6.5.1.900 or something like that....what you want is one that reads at least
9.0. This file is located under your \windows\system32 directory.

Then I did a search on my computer and found a 9.0 versioned file under the
\windows\LastGood\system32 directory and used that to replace the one
mentioned above. Ran MM2 again and voila, I could save my movies like
regular people! No reboot necessary....hope that helps.

If you have trouble finding the file, I suppose I can email it to you?
HTH....

Jon

Yup, mine is the old version? Would you mind terribly
sending me the new one? I would SO appreciate it.

Thanks,
Laura

I tried re-installing the software. That file didn't
upgrade. I searched for additional copies. It was the
only one. I used Remote Desktop to connect to my work
computer. Same old version. I found one on the W2K
server that was version 9 and just copied it right on top
of the old one on my PC.

Now it works like a charm. Thanks for everyone's help!
