Is there a not-terribly expensive piece of software that works either as an
add-in to WMM or as standalone that anyone can recommend that would allow me
to blur a selected chunk of the screen? It would be the SAME chunk of the
screen during the whole clip, so it wouldn't need to be dynamic, but it would
be beneficial to outline a square or rectangular piece of the playback window
and say "blur this." Even better would be able to do so at varying levels of
blur.

TIA

Thanks a lot, John...I am a little bit geeky in other areas (MS access) and
becoming a digital video/photography buff, so while it took me a bit to slog
through everything, I got what I needed. Did my first bit of XML scripting,
too, which was fun.

Looks like a great site, I am sure I will be back.

Again, many thanks for the help.
