Ok... I've figured out how to transfer my video files from my camera to my
computer and from my computer into Windows Movie Maker with all the snazzy
features etc and everything works until I convert it to a movie. It takes a
long time and this isn't a problem but after it's converted to a movie file,
I try to play it back and the first few clips come out with sound playing but
no picture and then a couple of clips in, it plays normally. Any answers?

What sort of files are they? Is it a digital camera or camcorder? If they
are not dv-avi files then this is possibly your problem.

They come up as "Windows media video/audio file" when I transfer them from
the camera to the computer. I don't know if this helps... I'm a retard when
it comes to this stuff. It's a teensy little Miyota digital camera which
does still photos, video footage and MP3 files. When I try to turn the video
files into a movie... this is when I encounter the problem.

This sounds similar to a problem I was having when attempting to import MPG
files. Although it gives you the option to do so, it only imports the SOUND
and not the video. Supposedly, it will only import AVI files correctly.

Joe is correct. What yu need to do is find out the format the camera saves
it's movies in, which could be mpeg4 or a variety of other formats including
.mov etc. Then do a google search for a **** file to avi convertor. Convert
the file to an avi and you should be able to then import it into MM.
