Audio/video clip from Canon Camera .avi format plays great in media player,
plays great in the "collections" preview screen after importing into MM2.
Drag to timeline and the audio becomes tinny, with sort of a high pitch
squeal in the background.
All kinds of resources and problem happens on desktop and laptop.

Thanks

avi is just a container which can hold many types of files. As it is a
camera, I suspect you mean stills that takes little videos. Thus the video
may well be divx/mjpeg/mpeg, none of which is compatible with movie maker.
Check out the file types page on my web-site www.myvideoproblems.com -
tutorials - movie maker tutorials
Convert it to wmv using an app from the useful programmes page and all
should be well.
