I am looking to purchase this camcorder but wanted to make sure it would work
with MovieMaker (capturing from the camcorder). I had read that there may be
an issue with capturing via USB ?

Does anyone know if this camera is compatible, I want to make sure it is
before purchaing.

Thanks

There is an issue with capturing through USB but the JVC GRDF550 has an IEEE
port on it so all you need is a IEEE card for your computer ($30ish) and you
can capture via firewire.
I checked out the specs on the camera and it looks like a good one.
