Hi, can anybody tell me how to revert back to the movie maker that came with
xp pro, prior to installing sp2 ?
the reason i want to do this is that with the older one, imported movies
were split up into several clips in the preview pane but they dont do this
with sp2's 2.1 version.

or can anybody tell me how to make 2.1 show the split clips ??

TIA

Chris

Is the "create clips from video files" box ticked? That would seem to be a
good place to start.

From the panel at the right choose "Import Video"
The dialog box that comes looks like the standard File Open dialog. But in
reality it has an extra field near the bottom edge. Look closely, can you
see: "Import Options : [ ] Create clips for video files." ?

aahh!!! so there is.
i have always dragged and dropped files into it - even with the older
version, which using that method (d&d) still showed clips.

nice one - sorted :-D

thanks
