When I select multiple media-files in a Windows Explorer, and press the enter
button, WMP only opens one of the files, while it should create a new
playlist with all selected files. I couldn't find anything in the options
that could help this. It started after installing WMP 11. Does anyone know a
fix? thnx

I literally said "When I select multiple media-files", so the fix you
suggested about not being able to select multiple cannot be a solution. I
appreciate the attempt but it didn't help me. I can select multiple files in
windows explorer, but when I open all of them they should all be pasted in
WMP's playlist, but the playlist only contains a single one. Anyone have a
solution?

Gotcha.

In XP or Vista?
If you right-click on the selected files, what option is highlighted as the
default?
What if any anti-virus do you have on the system? (I'm curious if it's
interfering with WMP's temporary playlist creation.)

OS: XP Pro 64bits
The option highlighted as default as in 'bold' is "Play".
Any I have no anti-virus of any kind whatsoever, I even turned off the
default windows Firewall.

Thnx

What's the value of HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mp3 ?
What are the values/keys under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mp3file ?
