You might be able to reinstall WMP11 from the download package - it
may work on XP (but won't on Vista), and comes with the WMF11 SDK
Probably the best shot though is to rollback to WMP10 by uninstalling
WMP11 *then* run the download package again. You can get WMP11
installer from this page :

The SDK package is available separately, from here
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsmedia/bb190309.aspx
but I'm not sure it's intended to be installed to fix player problems.
