Anyone have any suggestions? I've tried downloading codecs, divx, nothing
works. I've tried going to the registry, deleting the DRM and uninstalling
windows media, reinstalling , still doesn't work.
Thanks for any help

That's actually a streaming media error, not a local playback error :

Are you trying to play the file directly from a website ? Is there any
chance of right-click in the browser, choose Save As and playing it
from your local hard disk ?

There are some audio and video formats which aren't suitable for
streaming and this could be one which is generating an unexpected
error for the issue the players experiencing.

What URL does the "Web Help" button on that error dialog take you to?
