I have been using MediaPlayer 9 for yonks. When I
want to keep an audio file I am playing off the air,
I go to the upper-left corner and click File Save Media As.

Mad the mistake of upgrading to 11. I have looked high
and low but cannot find the File menu with it's Save
Media As option.

Where did they hide it??

Hi Chuck:

Don't feel so bad. I had the same problem when I upgraded to WMP 11.

It is hidden. If you look across the task bar you will see the search bar,
just to the left of it are two boxes (beside each other). These boxes are
for formatting your Media Player. Go to the first one (left side) and click
on "Classic Menu Option". It will put the "classic" menu back in the upper
left-hand corner of Media Player, e.g. File, View, Play, Tools and Help. You
will find the "Save As" under the "File".

I prefer this as well. Less time search for where things are hidden.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your tips. I did find it finally, but never
did see a search bar. All is well now.

Eventually I right clicked somewhere on the screen and found a
Classic View item and went from there. Never was any logic
to it.
