When I play back CDs the singing is out of pitch and slightly distorted. How
do I resolve this issue?

In media player, go to Tools -> Options -> Devices menu, and select
the CD drive (may be 1 or 2 drives in your PC). Make sure "Digital" is
selected for both playback and recording.

It's also worth checking if you have speakers or a sound card which
offers some sort of Karaoke mode, or is switched into surround sound
mode, both of which could distort and pitch shift in the wrong
circumstances

Hi Neil

Thanks for the post followed your instructions and found that it was the
Karaoke setting on my Realtek HD Audio Manager.

Thanks again

Cheers Steve
