I want to be able to search for a song in my libray using the search box,
start it playing then have media player continue to play the rest of the
library after finishing the song if i remove the search string. At the moment
if i search it will only play that item then stop. Is there any way to do
this or should I just use iTunes?

Thanks

I know what you mean here...this can be a pain. WMP is different then itunes
because the "Now playing" list is seperate from the library. Basically,
whatever is on the screen at the time you click "play" replaces what is in
the now playing list. So, if you search for a particular song and
double-click it, the "now playing" list becomes that single song.

You can right-click on the song and choose "add to now playing" which will
queue it up in the list rather than replacing the list.

Just drag and drop the Searched for song into your Now Playing playlist.
