I am using Windows XP SP2 with WMP 11. I have tried every thing I, and
others, to get my WMP to work. It seems that the DRM is not right. When I
look at the technical Support info it shows no DRM. I have reinstalled WMP11
a dozen times but nothing works. I can remove it because it will only revert
back to an earlyer version which I don't have. I have gone this this site:
http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp several times
but the button is always grayed out. I have read a lot of the postings here
but none seem to answer my question. How do I get WMP 11 to have DRM.
Please help.

Thank you for your help,

It sounds like your DRM store is broken and needs to be reset-
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/891664/en-us
may help fix you up.

Thank you for your reply. I have been to this site before. The "Upgrade"
button is grayed out. Nothing seems to work to get my DRM back up and running.
Again, thank you for you input.

If that KB does not fix you up, nor my minor additions at:
http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#indiv
, then at that point you are as you have noticed in a broken state and would
likely want to contact actual product support.

zachd(MSFT),
Thank you for your information. I looked at the support page but it said
that I would have to pay $59.00 for a e-mail consoltation. I am retired and
that kind of money is hard to come by. I have tried to uninstall WMP11 but
all it wants to do is down grade to another WMP of which I don't have. I
don't want to wipe my harddisk and "start over" just to be able to use the
DRM in WMP11. I guess I will just not have it work and not watch "Instant
Movies" on Netflix.

I am having the exact same issue, including the greyed-out "upgrade" button
that is supposed to fix the problem. HELP! Somebody e-mail me si I can
watch the Euro2008 games that I paid for! :)

If you reset the DRM cache-
http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#indiv
that should get you going again.
