Microsoft will never make a public list of what will be in the next release
of Media Center. There could be issues with hardware, software/drivers or
even legal hurdles to overcome to get a particular feature out to market.
Miss a milestone on any of these, and it jeopardizes the feature being in
the final product.
Beta programs are now administered through
http://connect.microsoft.com.
Whether you require an invitation to a particular beta, or if they're open
to the general public depends on the beta. You'll need a Windows Live ID to
sign in and see what the options are for any given beta.
